Blades

Advantages of carbon steel :
is easy to sharpen and has an excellent edge

Advantages of 12C27 steel :
does not rust or wear out
Damascus blade:

The blade is forged by taking steels with different carbon contents, stretched, bent, until creating a succession of several hundred layers. The blade is then dipped in a "revealing" bath which will affect each steel differently, which will give these patterns.
As-forged blade:

Once cut, the blade is hammered to give a forged appearance.
