Carving a roast or leg of lamb in front of your guests is a moment in itself. The Laguiole carving set from Coutellerie du Barry was made for that moment: understated, precise, built to last. The horn tip handle gives each set a distinct natural character — shades range from pale ivory to deep brown, varying with the material, never repeating.
The set includes a long-bladed carving knife and a two-tine carving fork, equally suited to summer barbecues and festive meals. It comes presented in a wooden box, ready to gift.
Like every piece leaving our workshop — established in Laguiole, Aveyron, in 1988 — this carving set is made entirely by hand. Nothing is outsourced. The blades are forged, fitted, and polished by our craftsmen. The horn tip handles are individually selected, shaped, and fitted. The hand-forged bee, our maker's mark, is set into the spring by hand.
Horn tip is a living material: its colour variations — from pearlescent beige to deep brown — are natural and unique to each piece. They are its signature, not a flaw.
This carving set is first and foremost for lovers of quality tableware who want a tool worthy of what they serve. It also makes a thoughtful gift for retirement, a significant birthday, a wedding, or a father-to-son occasion. The wooden box means no additional wrapping is needed.
Hand-wash only, dry immediately. Do not put in the dishwasher. In the event of wear or damage, our workshop handles repairs and blade sharpening. The lifetime warranty covers manufacturing defects for the full life of the piece.
Dispatched within 5 working days. Free delivery from €200. Each set is prepared to order in our Laguiole workshop.
