A complete cade juniper set, rare among our boxed sets
Cade juniper grows on the garrigue and limestone plateaux of southern France. Its dense wood, with warm hues ranging from honey-brown to deep red, carries a persistent peppery and resinous fragrance. This Laguiole knife and fork set brings together 4 straight table knives and 4 matching forks, all fitted with the same wood — a rare pairing among our boxed sets, each handle unique in its grain and scent. A complete way to set a table without mismatched pieces.
100% handmade in France, in our workshop
Every knife and fork in this set is made entirely in our Laguiole workshop, which has been operating since 1988. Nothing is outsourced. Production requires constant attention: selecting cade juniper pieces, fitting the liners, hand file-working and mounting the spring for the knives, fitting the bolsters for the forks. The double stainless bolsters are machined and fitted one by one. The Shepherd's Cross — a 1 mm stainless rod — is hand-set on each knife, the hallmark of an authentic Laguiole.
