The 12 cm 3-piece Laguiole pocket knife combines three traditional tools on a single handle: a sharp blade, a corkscrew and a robust awl. It is the quintessential table and outdoor companion, crafted for those who value a reliable, carefully made tool that can be passed down through generations.
The 12 cm closed format provides a confident grip without adding bulk to the pocket — versatile enough for everyday use, precise enough for the table.
Every knife leaves the Coutellerie du Barry workshop, established in Laguiole, Aveyron, since 1988. Nothing is outsourced. Each piece is assembled, adjusted and finished by a cutler — approximately four hours of work per knife.
Key steps: handle selection and shaping, hand-engraving of the spring, blade fitting on the liners, riveting, grinding (grit 40 to 180), blade and bolster polishing, fitting of the shepherd's cross in stainless steel or brass wire. The bee is forged directly into the spring — it is not screwed on; it is part of the metal itself.
This 3-piece model is ideal for the man who appreciates a complete, practical knife — useful at the table and outdoors alike. The integrated corkscrew makes it a natural choice for wine lovers and shared meals. It also makes an outstanding gift for Father's Day, retirement, a milestone birthday, or a father-to-son transmission for those who want to give something that lasts.
With 22 handle materials to choose from, each knife can be fully personalised: pressed horn, olive wood, cade juniper, ebony, carbon fibre… Every combination is unique, and every natural material slightly different from the next.
A well-maintained Laguiole knife lasts for decades. We recommend periodic sharpening on a fine stone, thorough drying after contact with moisture, and light oiling of the mechanism once or twice a year. Should any issue arise, our workshop handles repairs and resharpening. The lifetime warranty covers manufacturing defects — we repair or replace without conditions.
Each knife is assembled to order according to your chosen options. Estimated delivery: 5 working days. Free delivery from €200. To complete your purchase, we offer a matching 12 cm leather sheath (available in black), designed to protect and carry your Laguiole in style.
